Subj : The Collectors Newsletter No. 1124 April 6 2018 To : All From : Janis Kracht Date : Fri Apr 06 2018 20:35:24 From Glenda: Lynn asked how to make "egg rubs" to drop into potato soup ..... my Mom called them dumplettes and made them by mixing an egg in a cup or small bowl and adding a cup of flour and seasoning. Stir them a little with a fork and then 'crumble' them with your fingers until they are about 'pea size'. Drop into hot potato soup and cook until done. It took me a while to master them but I have, and love them. From Sandy C This is for Lynn in Florida. This sounds like what you requested. Ribbles {for soup}. 1 whole egg 2 cups flour Beat egg until light. Sift flour over the beaten egg and work between the fingers until fine Ribbles are obtained. Just 10 minutes before serving the soup, add as many Ribbles as will thicken the soup nicely. If any are leftover, they will keep nicely in a covered jar for a few days for future use.
