We definetly got extremes which they (weather people) are calling that the new 
normal.  As for hot weather, July and August were above average temps and 
definetly dry, although the resevoirs were higher than usual, which was of 
little to no consequence to the record forest fire season in the interior of 
BC.  All the excess water was in the 'wrong' place to do much good as far as 
forest fires were concerned.
