Subj : any dibs on % voting? To : AUGUST ABOLINS From : Rob Mccart Date : Tue Feb 25 2025 01:24:00 AA>Anyone willing to predict what this week's voter turnout will >be? AA>In 2022 is was the lowest ever, and it was summer! This year >there are at least two things that might contribute to a low >turnout: [1] the post storm weather a week ago, and [2] this >being a truly unnecessary election. I expect pretty low turnout again. As you suggested weather has some effect but you could also vote by mail with a bit of online hassle to avoid driving to the polling stations. The biggest issue may be that, although medium to lower income people normally tend to not vote for the Conservatives, things have not been totally horrible under Ford and people have been down on the Liberals for a while now.. and the NDP party plans generally want to bankrupt the Province by giving things they can't afford to the lower income people. I think the federal election will more of a zoo.. I'd have a hard time wanting any of those running put in charge.. --- * SLMR Rob * Send lawyers, guns and money!
