That's really good, although you didn't mention price.. My optional upgrade would give me about 80 gig of Data plus unlimited calling to the USA added to the Canadian calling for just $5 more. Texting through Lucky is Global which the 'full' Bell services don't offer (Lucky is a Bell company for prepaid users). If I use up all the data, it doesn't stop, it just slows down. They then offer to sell you more data at that point but if you don't need the speed you can just use it at the slower rate which allows for eMail and very low end Surfing, but it is free and unlimited at that point. 5G where I am would be like your dad's situation in Muskoka. I'm a ways north of Parry Sound and things work well enough for what I do but I don't push things too much. I usually get 3 or 4 bars at 4G but on occasion it could drop to 1. We've always had to put up with poor communication here because the Bell Box is probably 60 years old. When I was using dial-up on the land line I could only get half the normal speed because the Box was still set up for party lines. It works like a private line now, no waiting for a neighbour to get off the phone, but the lines are still shared or throttled back. I was quite happy when we could finally get Data through a Cell Phone. JH>My only real "snag" with Public Mobile is when I got a new debit >card in the mail with an updated expiry date. I forgot to put >the new details in Public Mobile Yes, I've done similar things. I get bonus data, pretty much doubling it, because I've been with Lucky for so long and am set to auomatically pay every month, but I've run into credit card issues when getting a new card, although possibly that has changed to automatically update that now for regular repeating payments. It's a long time since I had to change that.. But every few years I change my plan at Lucky and it appears I will lose all my long time user bonuses, but usually that gets sorted out by the next month. --- * SLMR Rob * Sex on television can't hurt you unless you fall off * Origin: capitolcityonline.net * Telnet/SSH:2022/HTTP (1:2320/105) .
