B) Here in the states, when they went digital, they were (and still are) sending out an OTA signal but it can only be picked up with digital capable equipment. It also does *not* travel near as far as the analog OTA signals did (IIRC, because they turned the power down), so that is how many people in rural areas lost OTA service. Before the digital transition was completed, I could get about 10 stations from the two closest markets, plus one from Cincinnati (farther away). Afterwards, I could no longer get any. In Canada, did they actually turn off OTA all together at some point?
