FIRST CHEVROLET CORVETTE ROLLS OFF THE LINE - 30 JUNE, 1953: The first 
Corvette is built in Flint, Michigan. The 'Vette had been designed 
solely for the 1953 New York Auto Show, but enthusiasm from the public 
and Chevy's chief engineer led to production of this consumer model. 
It will become an iconic sports car, with the one millionth Corvette 
being produced in 1992.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Little Red Corvette
 Categories: Five, Veverages, Booze, Citrus
      Yield: 1 shooter

      2 oz Mezcal
  1 1/2 oz Hibiscus-Jalapeño Syrup;
           - below
    3/4 oz Lime juice

MMMMM-----------------HIBISCUS-JALAPENO SYRUP------------------------
      1 c  Sugar
      1 c  Water
      1    Jalapeno; seeded, chopped
      4    Hibiscus tea bags

  MAKE THE SYRUP: Combine sugar and water over medium
  heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add jalapeños and
  simmer for 3 minutes.

  Remove from heat and add tea bags, allowing to steep
  about 20 minutes. Strain. Keep covered in a squirt
  bottle or sealed in a glass jar and refrigerated for up
  to 1 week.

  MAKE THE DRINK: In a shaker filled with ice, add mezcal,
  hibiscus-jalapeMo syrup and lime juice.

  Shake and strain over fresh ice in an old fashioned
  glass rimmed with chili salt. Garnish with a lime wedge.
