Subj : Tomatoes To : Shawn Highfield From : Ruth Haffly Date : Fri Jul 15 2022 14:17:31 Hi Shawn, RH> So far (2 nights) he's done well. He did all the cut out pre work RH> (except the memory verses) for tonight's project. The teachers, with RH> help from the crafts assistant, will handle tomorrow's project as Steve RH> has another committment. SH> Good! I feel odd, sitting it out but it's better for me to do so. Tomorrow I'll get over to the farmer's market for a bit, then a little shopping at W-M and Wegman's, but try to be out for only a couple of hours. I've added a few more "must do's" around the house but it's still far from the organisational project I'd hoped to do over the spring. RH> Meanwhile, I'm improving but don't want to RH> push things too fast or get around groups of people where Covid may be RH> going around for a bit lomger. SH> Makes sense. Covid is hitting it's 7th wave according to my gubment, SH> it's not over yet that's for sure. Most people don't wear masks now. I probably should wear a mask when I go out tomorrow, at least in the stores. Covid is going around here, including in groups we're members of, so, better safe than sorry. SH> I only do at work as I'm in a close small space with lots of people SH> every day. I don't care what anyone says, but I have only had one cold SH> in almost SH> 3 years. I haven't had colds; bronchitis is what keeps getting me. Too much scar tissue in my lungs from the asthma, prior cases of bronchitis and pneumonia adds up to my being very susceptable. RH> We're debating how many more years we'll participate in the mission RH> trips; will miss the maple when we do but there are other interesting RH> places, foods to explore. SH> Exactly, make sure you see some places you want as well. You can SH> always keep helping the church when not traveling. Everyone needs a SH> break at some point! Yes, we'd like to get back over to Germany some time, get to Italy while in Europe also. We're discussing a return trip to HI in 3 years; we celebrate our 50th anniversary the same year the church we were members of while over there celebrates their 50th. RH> Thanks, taking things slow and easy this week has helped. Also the meds RH> have been doing their thing but the rest has been vital. SH> Fingers crossed. Thanks, slowing down is frustrating but better for me in the long run. --- Catch you later, Ruth rchaffly{at}earthlink{dot}net FIDO 1:396/45.28 ....
