Subj : Tomatoes To : Shawn Highfield From : Ruth Haffly Date : Fri Jul 22 2022 13:39:29 Hi Shawn, RH> A bit more today, had a dental cleaning this morning. Planning to go to RH> church tonight so have some chicken in the crock pot and cucumber/onion RH> "pickling". I'll add some rice for a no fuss supper. SH> That sounds like a nice easy to make meal! In fact... I may just do SH> the same. Have a bit of jar sauce left in the fridge to use up. It was; Steve had picked up some packets of rice and rice with quina at Wegman's so we decided to try one of the latter. It's basically precooked, all you do is put it in the microwave for 90 seconds, let it stand for a minute. Surprisingly good, and an easy addition to any meal. It went well with the chicken that I'd sprinkled with adobo seasoning and put in the crock pot with a bit of chicken broth. RH> Always something that needs doing. I need to get going on the baby RH> quilt--get it done before the kid starts walking. SH> Laugh. That's probably a good thing. I figured; I'll probably make it up next week. This was sort of a transition week from doing a lot of nothing the last couple of weeks, except working on getting better. I think now I can tackle something extra, as long as I do it in short sessions. RH> It's possible, have to figure out if we'll go when the church RH> celebrates (usually in July) or for our anniversary (September). Either SH> Pick based on the weather and price of the tickets? Weather would be about the same either time over there, maybe a bit hotter in July than September. Price of tickets is the big unknown right now as it's still 3 years out. RH> way, I want to hit up Maui Mike's (rotisserie) chicken, Haliawa Joe's RH> (seafood) and Fabric Mart (obvious) before returning to the mainland. RH> (G) SH> Hope you get there soon! It would be nice--talked to a lady from HI when we were up in VT. She'd married someone from the mainland; they're now living in VT. She'd been back to HI in May and verified that 2 of the 3 places are still going strong. The seafood place is the one she didn't know about. --- Catch you later, Ruth rchaffly{at}earthlink{dot}net FIDO 1:396/45.28 ....
