Subj : sardines To : SHAWN HIGHFIELD From : JIM WELLER Date : Wed Aug 10 2022 21:58:00 -=> Quoting Shawn Highfield to Jim Weller <=- JW> I've been getting my ... sardines from the Filipino section of JW> the store. SH> from the asian store downstairs ... different brands from europe SH> but much cleaner then dirty old brunswick. The Filipino brands my Your Independent Grocer carries are Mega and Ligo. They are the two big names in the Philippines. Their fish are smaller and more delicate than Brunswick's. They come in little, tall, upright, round cans and they are 70 cents/100grams vs Brunswick at $1.88 as well as nicer. I think they are almost as nice as Club Des Millionnaires Brisling sprats at $3.33. Since YIG and No Frills are both Loblaws names your store could easily carry them if they don't already.
