However, this was not what the name was originally coined for. In the 1600s, a flapjack was an unleavened pancake, starch batter cooked on a griddle, which is the current American use of the word. MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Healthy Flapjacks w/Chia Seeds, Fruit & Peanut Butter Categories: Grains, Fruits, Citrus, Nuts, Breads Yield: 9 servings 200 g Oats 2 Mashed ripe bananas 50 g Flaked almonds 30 g Chia seeds 50 g Sultanas 50 g Chopped dates Half the juice of a lemon Splash apple juice Runny Honey 100 g Crunchy peanut butter Handful blueberries Mix everything together except for the blueberries (these go on at the end). Pour into a greased greeseproof lined baking tray and bake for 20 mins approx on 160 (fan). While the flapjacks are still hot, dot the top with blueberries covered in runny honey.
