MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Mamgalore Cayenne Shrimp Categories: Seafood, Asian, Herbs, Potatoes Yield: 4 Servings 1 lb Medium-large shrimp 1/2 ts Turmeric 2 ts Cayenne pepper 1/2 ts Dry mustard 1/2 ts Salt 1 ts Wine vinegar 2 md Baking potatoes Shell and devein shrimps, leaving the tails on, and wash thoroughly. Pat dry on kitchen towels and put in a 10" microwave-safe skillet. Add turmeric, cayenne, mustard, salt and vinegar and toss to coat shrimps. Cover with the lid and let the shrimps marinate while you microwave the potatoes. Prick potatoes in 2 to 3 places. Nuke, uncovered, at 100% power in a 650-700 watt carousel oven for 7 minutes (or until potatoes give when pressed). Remove from the oven, peel and slice potatoes, and set aside, covered, until needed. Cook shrimps, covered, at 100% power for 2 minutes 30 seconds (or until they are barely cooked), stirring once. Let shrimps stand, covered, for 3 minutes. Spread potatoes on a heated plate. Uncover and arrange shrimps on top. Pour any sauce accumulated in the dish over the shrimps and serve. NOTE: This one is REALLY hot. You might want to start out with half the recommended cayenne and work your way up!
