He suggested mixing RH> them with my eggs (scrambled); that's how I usually eat them now. BTW, RH> it was on that visit that he officially proposed. (G) JW> So that's why you eat them! [g] I also had oysters for my first time on that trip. The dean of students at my college was a retired Lt.Col. from the US Marine Corps and had been stationed at Cherry Point, NC (about 30 miles from where Steve lived in Swansboro) before retiring and taking the job at the college. When I asked him about leaving early for the Thanksgiving break (had set up a ride with a couple, served as a "mother's helper" on the trip), he informed me that I couldn't come back to school until I'd tried oysters. Well, Steve popped the question, got my answer and then we went to a nearby restaurant for seafood. Yes, I had oysters (fried) but couldn't eat very many; we were both excited to make wedding plans. I have had them quite a bit since then but my favorite seafoods are shrimp and scallops. --- Catch you later, Ruth rchaffly{at}earthlink{dot}net FIDO 1:396/45.28 .... OH NO!
