16 March 1850 - NATHANIEL HAWTHORNE'S MORALITY TALE ARRIVES:
Massachusetts native Nathaniel Hawthorne, having quit his job at the
local customs house, sees his second novel published. The tale of
adultery and redemption in Puritan America becomes an immediate
bestseller.

"The Scarlet Letter" is stuffed with themes that border around aspects
of religion and human morality such as sinning, confessing, and being
penalized for such sin - much to the author's intention of sending some
strong moral lessons to his readership.

      Title: Scarlet Snapper Fillets
 Categories: Five, Seafood, Wine, Soups, Cheese
      Yield: 4 servings

      2 lg Meaty Scarlet Snapper
           - fillets
 10 3/4 oz Can Cream Of Mushroom soup
      4 tb Marsala wine
    1/2 ts Black iepper
      1 c  Parmesan cheese; shredded

  Spray a baking dish with vegetable oil and place fish
  fillets in bottom in one layer.

  Mix soup well with Marsala and pepper. Spread soup mix
  over fish fillets.

  Sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top.

  Bake in a 350ºF/175ºC oven for 20 minutes or until fish
  is flaky. Do not overbake!

  Serve with basmati rice and a green vegetable, garnish
  with lemon wedges and parsley.
