Subj : shrinkage with age To : Dale Shipp From : Ruth Haffly Date : Tue Apr 18 2023 12:11:09 Hi Dale, DS> We've got four stools that could be used. All of them fold up. Two of DS> them we got on the web, one is 12 inch and the other is 18 inch. Then RH> I think both of my small ones are 12 inches. I bought one at the RH> Wegman's in your area. That one is kept in the sewing room; the other RH> is in the kitchen, with the 2 step stool. RH> I've grabbed the kitchen step stools to use as a seat when going thru RH> the lower pantry shelves. Only problem with the smaller one is that RH> I'm sitting so low and there's no side rail to grab, getting up can be RH> a bit of a challenge some days. DS> I hear you. We don't have side rails in the kitchen, but I am quite DS> grateful that we have multiple side rails in the bathrooms. The side rail is on the step stool. We also have a step ladder outside that can be used for even more higher reaches but I generally leave that for Steve. DS> Title: Macaroni Salad (new) DS> Categories: D/g, Boat, Pasta, Salads DS> Yield: 4 Generously RH> From the looks of it, it would probably feed 6-8 comfortably. DS> The default for MM is 4, but we added the generously. The intended DS> audience for our recipes with the category "boat" is young students on DS> the environmental training ship (Lady Maryland) that Bryan was on as DS> the galley cook. Working on a boat can work up an appetite, and young folks tend to have a hefty one anyway. When we had teens in our small group at church, I'd figure on about 2 dozen servings for 18 people. We're down to one teen and half a dozen adults so I figure on cooking for 8-10 people. Sometimes I have left overs, sometimes I don't. DS> This looks like it would serve four better than two, even given only DS> 3/4 pound of protein. Most Asian meals use a minimal amount of protein. I thought I'd not had a lot of protein yesterday but adding it all up, I had a fair amount. Had a ham biscuit and yogurt for breakfast today so that was a healthy amount of protein to start the day. --- Catch you later, Ruth rchaffly{at}earthlink{dot}net FIDO 1:396/45.28 .... It works!
