05 September 1957 - SAL AND DEAN HIT THE ROAD IN A BOLD BEAT MANIFESTO:
Reading more like a prose poem than a novel, the 320 page semi-
autobiographical work published today journeys across sunbaked tarmacs
to define the ethos of the Beat Generation. The rambling, stream of
consciousness travelogue, 'On the Road,' will also launch author Jack
Kerouac into the literary stratosphere.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Roadfood's Shrimp Mozambique
 Categories: Seafood, Vegetables, Chilies Beer, Herbs
      Yield: 6 Servings

      2 tb Extra virgin olive oil
    1/2 md Onion; fine chopped
      5 cl Garlic; finely Chopped
      2 lb (U-30) raw shrimp; peeled,
           - deveined, tails on
      2    Env (1.4 oz ea) Sazon with
           - coriander & annatto
      2 ts Garlic powder
      1 ts Kosher salt
      1 tp Onion powder
      1 ts Paprika
     12 oz Beer (sub Chicken broth if
           - needed)
      1 ts Fresh squoze lemon juice
    1/8 C  Ketchup
    1/8 C  Frank's Hot Sauce
      3 tb Fresh parsley; chopped

  In a Dutch oven or heavy bottomed pot, heat oil on
  medium heat. Add onion and cook for 4 minutes. Add
  garlic and shrimp and cook another minute.

  Stir in seasonings, beer and lemon juice. Mix well then
  bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook
  uncovered 15 minutes. Stir in ketchup, hot sauce and
  parsley. Serve with rice or French fries.

  Yield: 6 Servings
