      Title: Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
 Categories: Cookies, Snacks, Chocolate
      Yield: 24 servings
 
      1 c  Unsalted butter
  1 3/4 c  (packed) brown sugar
      2 lg Eggs; room temp
      1 lg Egg yolk; room temp
      2 ts Vanilla extract
      3 c  A-P flour
      1 ts Salt
      1 ts Baking soda
      1 ts Baking powder
      2 c  Semisweet chocolate chips
 
  Place butter in a small heavy saucepan. Cook over medium
  heat until golden brown, 5-7 minutes; cool slightly.
  
  Beat brown sugar and eggs in a large bowl until blended.
  Beat in browned butter slowly; then vanilla.
  
  Combine the flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder;
  gradually add to brown sugar mixture and mix well. Stir
  in chocolate chips.
  
  Drop by quarter cupfuls 2" apart onto parchment-lined
  baking sheets. Bake @ 350ºF/175ºC until golden brown,
  13-15 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.
