Grin, not much into Pohl, Zelazny or Herbert.  No special reason and have read
some of all 3's works.  How about Chelsea Quinn Yarbro?  (Saint Germain
Vampire).  Liked some of the Tarzan books but the authors rampant racism palled
fast and I tossed the rest in the trash.

Anne McAffrey (pern books) is a good read.
