Subj : Hungarian Short Ribs To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Mon Aug 05 2024 09:25:02 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Hungarian Short Ribs Categories: Beef, Hungarian Yield: 8 Servings 4 lb Beef short ribs 2 md Onions; sliced 15 oz Can tomato sauce 2 c Water 1/4 c Brown sugar; packed 1/4 c Vinegar 1 1/2 ts Salt 1 1/2 ts Dry mustard 1 1/2 ts Worchestershire sauce 1 ts Paprika 8 oz Medium egg noodles Cut ribs into serving size pieces; trim excess fat. In Dutch oven, brown ribs on all sides. Add onions. Blend together tomato sauce, 1 cup of the water, brown sugar, vinegar, etc, through the paprika; pour over meat. Cover and simmer until meat is almost tender, about 2-1/2 to 3 hours. Skim off fat. Stir in noodles and remaining 1 cup water.
