Subj : Stuffed Napa Cabbage To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Wed Aug 07 2024 10:17:18 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Stuffed Napa Cabbage Categories: Cabbage, Pork Yield: 16 Leaves 16 Napa cabbage leaves; steam -wilted MMMMM--------------------------STUFFING------------------------------- 2 lb Fresh ground pork 1 lb Fresh Italian sausage 1 bn Fresh basil leaves; thin -sliced 6 cl Garlic; pressed 3 Celery ribs; including -leaves; fine chopped 8 oz Fresh mushrooms; fine -chopped MMMMM---------------------------SAUCE-------------------------------- 2 cn Tomato paste 4 md Tomatoes; blanched, peeled -and cut into small cubes 15 cl Garlic; sliced fine 1 md Onion; chopped, (pre-cooked -until slightly carmelized) 3 bn Fresh basil leaves; thin -sliced 1/2 lb Mushrooms; chopped 2 Celery ribs; including -leaves, fine chopped Salt-free lemon pepper; -generous sprinkling Served simply with some steamed mushrooms and broccoli on the side with sesame seeds and lemon pepper. Mix well, roll into flat balls and place into the large end of the cabbage leaf, then roll up. Place in the bottom of a large cast iron pot over a thin layer of olive oil. Cook sauce over medium heat until the stuffing in the cabbage is done through, approximately 45 minutes. Stir gently occasionally to prevent scorching. Top with sauce.
