I was defrosting the freezer and came across a bag of tail-off shrimp buried in the frost. NOTE TO SELF: Check Best Buy for that self-defrosting freezer. Anyway I made this recipe I invented when living at my brother's house for medical recovery a few years ago. It was a hit then and it was again last night. Real Alfredo would use fettucine noodles. But, I prefer the thinner linguine or spaghetti. And it's a poor cook who can't suit him self. Bv)= MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Shrimp & Broccoli (sort of) Alfredo Categories: Seafood, Sauces, Pasta, Cheese Yield: 4 Servings 8 oz Uncooked linguine or - spaghetti 1 c Broccoli florets 2 tb Butter 1 lb Tail-off cooked shrimp 10 3/4 oz Can cream of mushroom soup; - undiluted 1/2 c Whole milk or Half & Half 1/2 c Grated Parmesan cheese; plus - more to sprinkle at table 1/4 ts Pepper Cook linguine according to package directions. Add broccoli to cooking water for the last 4 minutes of cooking time; drain. In a medium skillet, over med-high heat, melt butter. Add shrimp and heat, stirring, until shrimp are heated through.
