Subj : Jellied Prunes To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Wed Jan 29 2025 10:38:39 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Jellied Prunes Categories: Fruit Yield: 1 Batch 14 lb Dried prunes Water; cold 2 tb Gelatin. 1 c Sugar 1/8 ts Salt 1/4 c Lemon juice Wash the prunes and soak overnight in 3 cups of cold water. In the morning simmer the prunes for 10 to 15 minutes in the water in which they were soaked, drain, and to the hot juice add the gelatin, which has been softened in 1/2 cup of cold water, the sugar, and salt, stir until dissolved, and set aside to chill. Cut the prunes into small pieces and discard the stones. When the gelatin mixture has partly set, stir in the prunes and lemon juice and put in a cold place for 3 or 4 hours, or until thoroughly set.
