MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Housewarming Burgers Categories: Beef, Breads, Sauces, Citrus Yield: 4 Servings 1 lb Ground turkey * 1/4 c Quick cooking oats; or bread - crumbs 2 tb Tomato paste 1 tb Lemon juice 1 ts Soy sauce 1 ts Worcestershire sauce 1 ts Garlic granules; or more 1 ts Paprika pn (ea) salt & pepper 4 Whole wheat buns 4 sl Really good yellow cheese; - optional (UDD) MMMMM------------------------UDD TOPPINGS----------------------------- Sliced onion Sliced tomato Peeled, pitted, sliced - avocado Hamburger dill slices Mustard & catsup Mayonnaise * Ground chuck works well in place of the buzzard - but it won't be as "healty" - UDD In a medium mixing bowl, combine turkey, oats, tomato paste, lemon juice, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Add in seasonings and combine well. Divide into 4 patties. Let sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to let the flavors really sink in. Heat grill on high. Once heated, add burgers and close the lid. Let cook for 5 minutes, flip, then cook another 3-5 minutes or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove patties and place on bun. Add toppings of choice and enjoy! UDD Notes: I've made this with both turkey and beef. I prefer the beef. Next I'm going to try ground pork. As for the toppings - those are all things I actually use from time to time. With the soy and Worster sauces in the mix - if you're adding cheese - choose an assertive flavour else it will just be coloured bun filler. Oh, yeah - this recipe works inside on a grill pan/ skillet just fine. RECIPE FROM: https://www.thehealthytoast.com Uncle Dirty Dave's Kitchen MMMMM .... Drink Canada Dry!
