Subj : Five Spice Pear Chutney To : All From : Ben Collver Date : Fri Jul 04 2025 09:21:59 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: Five Spice Pear Chutney Categories: Chutneys Yield: 2 Cups 3 lg Ripe pears; peeled cored, - coarsely chopped 1 sm Fresh hot red chile; - seeded, minced 1/2 c Onion; minced 1/2 c Natural sugar 1/2 c Rice vinegar 1/4 c Golden raisins 1/4 ts Ground allspice 1/4 ts Ground ginger 1/4 ts Ground coiander 1/4 ts Ground cloves 1/4 ts Ground cardamom Place all of the ingredients in a medium-size saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the pears and onion are soft and the liquid is syrupy, about 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
