Subj : Republicans in the MidWest. To : ALL From : BOB KLAHN Date : Fri Jul 12 2013 01:46:32 Michigan and Ohio are both run by the republican party. Michigan has Synder, Ohio has Kasich. Michigan has the advantage, their governor's name is easier to pronounce. Both governors have done their best to stick it to the working people, both have shunted off money to their buddies. Ohio now has it's business development money being handled by a private firm, with no reporting to the state, no auditing by the state, and no open meeting requirements. This is the republican party that gave 50 million to Tom Noe and didn't bother to check on him until the papers revealed how he was ripping off the state. They fixed that, though, this new agency has much better secrecy, so you can't tell when they are ripping off the state. Yet, dispite both governors doing their best to push down the working class, the right wing is still not satisfied. See, both governors understand that expanding medicaid will pay off big time for the state, yet the republican legislatures are so far right, they can't even get behind their governor when he is trying to do something that will pay off so well for the state. Oh, and Snyder understands that a new bridge to Canada is a great idea, esp since it's both the major crossover point for Canadian trade, and a national security issue. Yet the state legislature is so cheaply bought they won't approve the new bridge, even though it won't cost the state a penny. Some people just can't win for losing.
