I have a relative, that I thought stupidly announced of FB a few months ago
that he and his wife were taking a weekend trip somewhere, shortly after many
posts and photos of their new house were shared.

When I questioned the wisdom of such actions, his reply was that the home
wouldn't be empty, their two sons and the hunting rifles would be there.

Now while I have no reason to doubt that the young men know proper handling
of those weapons and could defend themselves is needed, why in the hell
publically announce something that coukd potentially put them in the
situation of needing to?
