Good point.  Enabling a %LIST feature after the fact would miss all the people who had already joined groups/echos.

Maybe scour your BBS for the TGUID's that you *do* have for the messages that people have been detected in, and then do some kind of XOR to indentify the areas were they  are NOT found.  Then for the latter list, post a message indicating that your system has not detected any posts by that user in that group/echo - maybe just send back a list with an "*" next to the group/echo that is registered, and a "-" indicating the ones that have link-up.  THEN, as if the "-" info is incorrect, ask the user to unjoin and rejoin?
