The %userprofile requirement came along a little later. Myself, I was already linked up to all the english/fidonet echos before that too.  

Anyway.. I'm guessing that Steve's posts in CHAT happened first, then he talked to the bot using the %userprofile command, and *then* he happened to post in this echo.  Dunno.  We'll see when he posts in CHAT again.
