I haven't followed this discussion but I don't think it is any of makenl's busyness (pun intended) what the relative age of a segment is and based upon that accept or reject it. As a ZC I have to accept that whatever is sent to me by an RC is correctly named and CRC'd, and if nothing newer is received then whatever's in the master-directory "is" correct, whatever its age.
