Subj : MakeNL v3.4.1 Release To : Janis Kracht From : Bj”rn Felten Date : Fri Jul 27 2018 01:25:02 JK> Every segment in the master directory... it deletes old ones and updates JK> new ones. You mean that my suggestion (copy + delete) does not do that? JK> what is so hard for you to understand? JK> Oh, I forgot, you're probably running some homegrown version You just can't help yourself, can you? I was the one person who started this project. I picked up an old German reverse engineered MakeNL that'd been ignored for several years. I cleaned up the code, removed a lot of outdated functions, fixed a lot of severe errors and finally made make-files for all known operating systems in fidonet. Needless to say, I'm interested to know how my baby is used. One of the things I find strange is that so many coordinators choose not to use the added security with .UPD (or whatever extension), but rather the very predictable generic function. I guess I'll never get an honest answer from you -- but I *was* hoping that some other coordinators could tell me why they do it this way. --- Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; sv-SE; rv:1.9.1.16) Gecko/20101125 * Origin: news://felten.yi.org (2:203/2) .
