Subj : Non ASCII in the nodelist? To : Rj Clay From : Michiel van der Vlist Date : Sun Jan 13 2013 15:13:28 Hello Rj, On Saturday January 12 2013 11:24, you wrote to me: MV>>>> So... /if/ we allow non ASCII in the nodelist, it will have to MV>>>> be encoded as UTF-8. All it has to do it just pass characters 128-254 "as is". MakNl does not interpret what is in the fields for the system name, the location or the name of the sysop. So makenl is oblivious for what character encoding scheme is used if and when 8 bit characters are allowed. It just has to pass them on. "Allow 8 bit characters to pass 'as is'" Cheers, Michiel --- GoldED+/W32-MINGW 1.1.5-b20110320 * Origin: http://www.vlist.eu (2:280/5555) .
