Is that 40 packs of lunch meat packs meant to be 4...?  I keep looking
at that to try to figure it out... ;)  Or are they small packages...?

I mostly don't stand at the stove any more... I can sit at the kitchen
table, close enough to the stove to reach over and grab the pan to do a
stir if needed, or just get up for a short time for a quick stir and
then sit again....

Lye can be pretty corrosive... I think that the lye soap at least made
it safer to use... ;)
