  I saw him today, and told him I could give him the 2 cents, and he
said "don't worry about it". That gives a whole new meaning of "putting
ones 2 cents into the conversation". :P

  Since I worked at a family business, I didn't get that. I basically
forfeited a days pay. At least I only had to serve 1 day a week, and a
total of 8 times in 6 months. So, when the "juror phone" opened at
7:30am on Tuesday, I was "on the horn" to find out if there was a trial.
If there was, I told the boss "I'll be gone for part or all of the day".
