I didn't think the mail had run, so I went out to check the Post Office Box, and drop the postcard off in the mail. It poured on the way home. NB>Often clerks have a little stash of pennies (and sometimes larger coins) NB>that can be tossed into the till to make up a little shortfall... I've NB>had that happen at the grocery store, where I needed a penny to make the NB>change come out even, that the clerk would offer a penny or two... I saw him today, and told him I could give him the 2 cents, and he said "don't worry about it". That gives a whole new meaning of "putting ones 2 cents into the conversation". :P NB>Yup, then you probably have at most only one more disability review to NB>deal with... :) I hope so. NB>The only case where that's remotely the case, would be the grand jury NB>duty where the term is for months on end, I think 6 months at a time... NB>one can be excused from that when one is a sole proprietor with no NB>employees to carry on the business in one's absence... Most employers NB>pay their employees their regular pay when on jury duty, especially the NB>salaried ones... And often one only actually has to serve for a day or NB>two... :) Since I worked at a family business, I didn't get that. I basically forfeited a days pay. At least I only had to serve 1 day a week, and a total of 8 times in 6 months. So, when the "juror phone" opened at 7:30am on Tuesday, I was "on the horn" to find out if there was a trial. If there was, I told the boss "I'll be gone for part or all of the day". NB>... If a cow laughs real hard, does milk come out its nose? Just another study for our tax dollars. :P Daryl === þ OLX 1.53 þ Out of my mind.
