  When I was in parking I used a large flat calendar with large boxes for
each day.
  I could put a lot in those with that room about upcoming events I had to
deal with, etc.

My civilian boss told me about something to make a note of and I said rather
pitifully "I would if I had a calendar".  A couple of morning's later there
was one on the desk.  :)

  I asked if they had any for that year left in the large size I wanted and
was sold one for half price, since it was mid-January.
  I don't know if I got it that cheap since the new year had started, I
knew the boss or once temped there briefly years before.  I didn't ask
questions, I just bought it.  :)

  I keep my tax files in order.  And they go back 50 or more years.
  I want to be on the safe side in case the IRS comes around questioning a
return from 1972 or so.  :)
