I suppose if that was one's only source of internet, one would be more
likely to expect it to be always available, or at least hope that it
would be available whenever one wanted to utilise it...

We just have the wired through the router here, and when Richard's main
machine is turned on, wifi through the house...  When our DSL has been
down, we've borrowed wired and wireless from our church and from our
friend that has a restaurant we frequent...  :)
