The reason I went with aluminum is just because it was available at the time
- $500 block brand new from GM. Couldn't turn it down.

I also made a decision to build from scratch instead of doing a junkyard
pull. I figured if I was going to put forth all this effort to build a car,
may as well pick every part intentionally from the get-go.
