Started out detailing used cars at a L-M dealership, then sold Honda-Fiat-Subaru-Volvo's at a small place. Then in 1977 I moved to a Ford dealership. That was the best, since had a selection of cars unlike the other place. A teenage fantasy of mine came true. I always have loved cars and at Ford I didn't have a demo for a while so took my pick of ones off the used car lot. "Let's see, what will I drive today? The '72 Grand Prix? The '69 Galaxie? The '74 Pinto? Maybe the '70 Cadillac..." An array of cars, pick one out to drive for a day or so, then get another one. It was car heaven. :) I really enjoyed selling used over new cars. A new car buyer wanting a different colour, options, etc than what we had, then tracking one down and switching with that dealer miles away if not factory ordered. A used car? There is is, take it or leave it. Besides, I made more on used rather than new ones.
