I usually only ran it a few times. In the spring/summer I would turn out on to blow out the dirt, keep things working, etc. I had a cat at the time, no carrier, and would take her on trips with me. She did well once we were on the road but at first she raced around trying to get out. I had it on then but once she settled down off it went off and the windows came down. She never attempted to "escape" when I parked the car for some reason. I had the windows down to help keep her cool. There was one time I let her out to explore at a roadside picnic area. When it was time to leave I couldn't find her. A lot of the places are outside, so doubt much of a problem there. I'll monitor that as I travel along.
