She knew of my 3 hobbies...she and my Dad were square dancing 2 1/2 years before I got into it (I regret I waited so long). Her late brother was the only other ham radio operator in the family. He knew I was first licensed, but didn't live to see me upgrade. And, as for the BBS, she knew I met my late wife on it. AA> You need not suffer. The deaths still play heavily on your AA> mind. Well, I had wanted to do a long train trip, just to get away from things for a week. But, declining health and financial issues have made that "a no-go". My late wife and I never had kids...because she didn't want any, and because after a severe case of chicken pox over 40 years ago (that nearly went into encephalitis), then working around (and likely absorbing solvents like methyl-ethyl-ketone) for nearly 20 years...as my late wife so eloquently put it (she had a way with words), "they wouldn't spay me, so he volunteered to get neutered". She had a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Psychology, and I should've known better than to mess with her. One night, I said "My head is so far up my butt, that I can see my throat". Without missing a beat, grinning wryly, she said "That's why your eyes are brown"!! . While I have the wonderful memories that no one can take away, many days, it seems like yesterday. Daryl ....
