Although we won't be able to this year, due to COVID, my mother and I
usually go out to eat Chinese on Christmas.  Many Chinese, and other ethnic
restaurants, are open on Christmas.

He could probably do the same on a normal Christmas if he has at least one
friend that won't be busy with family.
