I'm, I guess, "pre-Diabetic"; my doc mnitors my gl;ucose levels via a quarterly blood test I go for (non-fasting, as she's working with a baseline, rather than an absolute); Fasting is fine, but onyl if I can get the first appointments in the morning (my lab merxtdoor used t open at 06h00 & take you on a first come , first served, but now it's appointment-only, beginning at 07h00. :P I seem to be dong well enough, on average, & since I'm an average type guy, that works for me! I've lost 60lbs in the past year, within my planned schedule, now I'm doubling the rate of loss & going after the next 80 to my final/preferred weight of 220. (I'm 6' tall, so me being 300 doesn't look terrible right now, but Iu'm mnore concerned with health & ease of climbling stairs than how my looks affects others--only my wife gets an opinion on that.)
