I was directly in Katrina's path, so Sunday morning, the day before it made 
landfall, I was on my way to Texas.  175 MPH sustained winds near the eyewall 
with gusts up to 215 MPH scared me away.  I'd been through many a hurricane, 
but nothing of that magnitude.
