Everyone,

More on this subject, the windows update on 11/2/2012 caused this problem.

After reviewing and cross checking log files and system restore points it 
became clear the the windows update caused wcsmtp to fail.

Thanks to Michael Purdy and his wisdom and searching found this tidbit:

- Adding the Registry Key
 
wcregedit /local /value:wcSMTP\HostAddress /string:IP Address 
 
i.e
 
wcregedit /local /value:wcSMTP\HostAddress /string:192.168.1.1
 
where you bind it your PC's IP Address public or private if you are using 
NAT.
 
- And then restart wcSMTP.EXE

This for now has resolved the issue the helo from the smtp server is now 
back to what it was on 11/1/2012.

Thanks Micosoft for once again making us scratch our heads!
