Subj : Using DOSEMU to set up doors for SBBS To : All From : Diamond Dave Date : Fri Dec 17 2021 20:17:31 So I've been playing with Synchronet in Ubuntu, trying to get DOSEMU (actually DOSEMU2, since the original DOSEMU project is pretty much dormant) to get DOS doors to work. Got Synchronet complled from source and installed, and it's running fine. I set it up in /sbbs instead of /home/(user)/sbbs. Is that the right place for it to run? Got DOSEMU2 installed, and it's running fine. I can get it to do basic stuff. And I'm using Rob's Wiki articles to help getting things set up. So I plan on having it use the external.bat and dosemu.conf files that Rob set up in the /sbbs/ctrl directory. So far that's OK. But the part I'm missing is how can I set up DOSEMU to allow me to set up the DOS doors where you need to run a configuration program so I can tell the door game where to find the drop files, what directory it's running in, etc. I've been trying to use the "lredir" command in DOSEMU to tell it to point to the /sbbs/xtrn directory, but I keep getting error messages. So where am I going wrong in getting this set up?
