I stopped caring about Ubuntu when they stopped using Gnome. Now, I give my
love to Linux Mint...

But, I'm also using Mystic, not Synchronet. And my BBS is running on a Pi.
PiOS (and most other Pi installs) run a Debian-based Linux, like Ubuntu, but
that's where the similarity ends. Therefore, I cannot offer any useful advice
on this subject.
