There are a few makefiles in the Synchronet repo. The src/sbbs3/GNUmakfile "install" target will copy all output executables and libraries to your Synchronet exec directory. The install/GNUmakefile "install" target would only copy (or symlink) a seelect list of xecutables to your Synchronet exec directory. That list did not include pktdump or fmsgdump utilities, but I just committed a fix that does.
