I think you're referring to the command *prompt* in the default command shell (exec/default.js) - that's not part of the menu.

Yes, you could change the prompt to include the long names (of group and/or sub-board) instead of short names, but the prompts may wrap typical (e.g. 80 column) terminals. But give it a try.
