We have a key ignition power backup for the house, when we move it will be a fully automatic generac system so we will not notice going off the grid to the emergency power. Power for our neighborhood was down 5 hours and we made out just fine. We can watch tv and cook and carry on as normal. The only hesitation is that it is not automatic.
