The word "Coon" was recently used here by another poster and our
resident Wordsmith, Blobbi AKA "Bad Mouth Sanchez",  became quite
confused.

She believed that the good folks here where discussing the 
raccoon , Procyon lotor (sometimes spelled racoon), also known as the
common raccoon, North American raccoon,and northern raccoon.


So, in deference to Bad Mouth Sanchez, I suggest that perhaps we
consider utilizing the term "Cocoa Puffs".
(Note -- Sometimes "Cocoa Puffs" is used only to identify White womwn
who sleep with or has children with Black Men)

One possible explanation as to why some folks use the word Coon by 
a shortening of "raccoon", is because raccoons have a tendency to
steal.
