  The September, 2021 issue of "The Modern Square", Arkansas' monthly
square and round dance publication, is released today, August 15, 2021.
The reason there was a bit of a delay was because the deadline, the
14th of the month before the month of issue, fell on a weekend. When I
send the data for the print edition to the printer, I want to be sure
that they received it the same day I sent it...and I then send out the
e-Edition the same day. Unfortunately, I lost internet last evening
(Aug. 15), so I couldn't make the posting on this until today).

  I've placed the new release on the ASSDF website (the URL is noted
below). Once there, click on RESOURCES, then click on DOWNLOAD THE
MODERN SQUARE. I have also updated a previous print edition to the
website...it is now the edition that was released for July, 2021. The
"two month delay" prevents non-subscribers from getting it in a timely
manner. Unlike the e-Edition, which is free, the print edition is $20
a year. And, unlike the e-Edition, only one month of a previous print
edition is available on the ASSDF website. You will need a PDF viewer
to view/print the PDF files.

  With being recently diagnosed as "a heart patient" (with atrial
flutter), I'm limited in what I can do on the dance floor. At the
dances I can attend, I "work the table", to answer questions about
The Modern Square (including print and e-Edition subscriptions), and
the ASSDF website. However, I prefer working "behind the scenes", as
you can always get dancers...you can't always get workers. I am on
medication, and see my cardiologist next week. At this time, I don't
know whether or not I'll need pacemaker or other surgery.

  Work on the October, 2021 issue, which will focus on the ASSDF Fall
Festival in Texarkana...will begin around September 10, 2021. The
deadline for items for that issue will be September 14, 2021.
