My wife and I have on the road since Wed the 2nd.  I am happy to report that when I 
originally hooked the car up to the motor home, it DID charge the hybrid vehicle starting 
battery.  That was a big concern of mine.  I didn't want to have any more incidents 
where I had to jump start the car after travelling long distances.

The other thing I worried about was the 'check engine' light coming on, and the coach 
not being able to accelerate very well after it came on. It turns out that the 'water 
separator' was defective.  Diesels don't like water mixed in the fuel.  I am currently 
getting the full 400 HP I should get.  We have already traveled some huge inclines in 
Tennessee, and all seems well.

Tomorrow we will travel to Ohio for an overnight stay until reaching Michigan the 
following day.  Should be an uneventful trip.  Looking forward to seeing my 95 year old 
mother when we get there.

Although we will be camping, that is really secondary.  The real reason for the trip is to 
see friends, family and whatever sights we can along the way.  But, it is nice to be in our 
own bed, use our own shower, and listen to Sirius along the way.  Currently listening to 
Sirius Channel 5 'doo wop shop'.
